SERA Chlorine Test (Cl) 15 ml

The SERA Chlorine (Cl) Test is a drop test designed to easily determine the chlorine concentration in water. It is suitable for freshwater aquariums, marine aquariums, and ponds, and allows for a quick check if the water contains potentially harmful chlorine.

Recommended use

This test is particularly useful before a water change, when starting up an aquarium, after a suspected variation in the quality of the mains water, or whenever you use water and want to check for the absence of chlorine.

Instructions for use

1. Rinse the test tube several times with the water to be tested and then fill it up to the 10 ml mark.
2. Wipe the outside of the test tube.
3. Shake the reagent well before use.
4. Add 8 drops of reagent.
5. Mix gently.
6. Read the color immediately on a white background, in daylight, without direct sunlight.

Reading the result

The absence of a color change indicates the absence of harmful chlorine. A yellow color already signals the presence of chlorine at around 0.02 mg/l, while a more reddish hue indicates a higher concentration.
