Instructions for use

1. Rinse the test tube thoroughly with the water to be tested.
2. Fill the test tube up to the 5 ml mark.
3. Add the reagent drop by drop, gently shaking after each drop.
4. Observe the color change until the final turn.
5. The number of drops used corresponds to the total hardness value in °dGH.

Interpretation of the result

The result is expressed in German degrees (°dGH). To obtain the French TH value, multiply the measured value by 1.78.

What if the overall hardness is not suitable?

If the total hardness is too low, the manufacturer recommends using sera mineral salt . If it is too high, it can be lowered by mixing the water with reverse osmosis water.

To obtain softer water, SERA also recommends adding sera blackwater aquatan or filtration on sera super peat .
