Step-by-step usage

1. Collect the water sample in a clean test tube up to the indicated fill line.
2. Add the number of drops of reagent A indicated in the instructions, shake gently.
3. Add reagent B if necessary, wait the recommended waiting time (see instructions).
4. Compare the color obtained with the color scale provided to read the value in mg/L (or ppm) of dissolved oxygen.
5. Note the value and adjust the ventilation, water circulation or filtration if necessary.

Practical advice

• Take measurements regularly (e.g., weekly) or when you observe abnormal fish behavior.

• Measure at the aquarium's operating temperature and consult the instructions for any temperature-related corrections.

• Avoid contamination of reagents: handle with clean hands and carefully close the bottles after use.

When to intervene based on the results

Above 6–7 mg/L : generally good for most freshwater fish.

3–6 mg/L : monitor and improve aeration if close to the lower end of the range.

Less than 3 mg/L : risk of hypoxia — immediately increase aeration, check filtration and biological load.

Security and storage

Store the kit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Do not ingest the reagents; in case of ingestion or eye contact, rinse thoroughly and consult a doctor if necessary. Follow the safety instructions on the packaging.
