JBL ProAquaTest Fer (Fe)

JBL PRO AQUATEST Iron is an easy-to-use colorimetric test for regular monitoring of iron levels in freshwater and saltwater aquariums and garden ponds.

Why test iron content?
Apart from sufficient CO2 supply, iron and trace elements are essential for the life of aquatic plants.
Plants that grow well constantly consume iron and other trace elements. These are only stored for a certain time. Even if they are combined with chelating agents, as in modern fertilizers, it is therefore necessary to monitor the iron level by regularly checking with the JBL Test Fe kit and possibly adding fertilizer.
Pond owners should check the iron content of their well water before using the water for their pond.
High iron levels can cause problems in ponds.

When to use JBL ProAquaTest Iron (Fe)?
In case of green algae problems or plants not growing well.

Contents JBL ProAquaTest Iron (Fe):
1 Rapid Iron (Fe) Test, contents for approx. 50 measurements, reagent, 2 glass test tubes with screw caps, syringe, comparator and color chart.

Recommended iron content :
- Freshwater aquarium (community): 0.05-0.2 mg/l
- Malawi-Tanganyika Aquarium: 0.05-0.2 mg/l
- Planted aquarium with few fish (aquascaping): 0.1-0.5 mg/l
- Seawater aquarium: 0.002-0.05 mg/l Ponds: 0.05-0.1 mg/l
