Description
TROPICAL Test NO2 is used to measure the concentration of nitrites (NO2-) in the range of 0 to 3.3 mg/l in fresh and sea water.
It is convenient and extremely easy to use.
The reagents are added to the water and after a short time the sample changes color.
The nitrite concentration value results from comparing the sample color with the attached color scale.
Nitrite is formed in the aquarium by bacterial decomposition of fish waste, uneaten food, and other organic substances.
Nitrites are highly toxic to fish, the concentration in the aquarium should be as close to zero as possible.
Dangerously high levels of nitrites can occur in newly established aquariums, overstocked aquariums, or if biological filtration is not functioning properly.
The NO2 test from TROPICAL quickly and easily shows whether the aquarium water is safe for the fish living there.
